I've had good luck with Sams guides - I only used the teach yourself SQL in 10 minutes book, but it's good, they have more extensive resources as well.Looking for good SQL books/tutorials with hand on training examples?
I don't suggest you learn SQL specifically; SQL is an easy language. i guess it's better to learn SQL for the DBMS ur using. i used to work on MySql and on Orcale as well as Sql Server and each SQL is a lettel bit different than the other.
If u want to use it for oracle then better learn PL/SQL which is an advance SQL for oracle
